Colin Heininger is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher based in New York City. He is currently a dancer and the company coordinator for Peridance Contemporary. Originally from Hollidaysburg, PA, Colin graduated in 2016 as an Honors Scholar with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Musical Theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he was named the Valedictorian of the School of Dance and had received a full tuition scholarship. As a dancer he has performed works by Sharon Eyal, Netta Yerushalmy, Andrea Miller, Helen Simoneau, Beth Gill, Sidra Bell, Norbert de la Cruz III, Adam Barruch, Yin Yue, Yoshito Sakuraba, Alice Klock, Jae Man Joo, and Igal Perry. In addition, Colin attended the Jacob's Pillow Contemporary program in 2014 and Springboard Danse Montreal in 2016, where he was first connected to Igal Perry and Peridance Contemporary. Outside of the company, Colin has performed several works by Netta Yerushalmy, choreographs and premieres his own work, and teaches on faculty at the School of Peridance. He also is a professional math tutor.
